Monday Inspiration: Found

If you know me in real life, or have read this blog or followed me on social media for any length of time, you know how much I love creating with found objects.

This week I don’t have any new musings for you: instead, let me direct you to my post on creating with found objects.

And instead of questions to ponder, this week I’m giving  you a fun little challenge: leave the house if you can, wander your neighborhood or a park or a path, and see if you find anything that calls to your creative self. If it seems appropriate, bring it home and make something with it. Don’t be afraid to do something you don’t usually do. Approach the project with curiosity, treat it as a playful experiment, and see what comes of it. Regardless of the outcome, you’ll learn something from the process.

If you can’t leave the house for whatever reason, try using some of your junk mail, an old magazine you don’t want anymore, a ruined piece of clothing, or an empty box from the recycle bin. The point here is transformation, and you can work that with most anything.
