Tiny Delights Matter: Let’s Have a Giveaway

an art doll with a walnut face and black embroidered clothing

I’m not even going to dwell on why we need tiny delights more than ever right now. We all know why! So let’s take a minute instead to consider the kinds of things that give us delight from day to day, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than to give away a little handmade gift to one of you lovely people.

SO! I am offering up a free tiny treasure to one lucky winner. The winner can choose ONE of the following:

  1. A hand stitched mini artwork measuring up to 4 inches square. I will create it in whatever colors you like best, and we can discuss the design too. Browse sold stitched pieces or view my instagram profile to see the kinds of pieces I like to create.
  2. A miniature spirit doll made from natural and found objects. You can browse sold spirit dolls to get an idea of my working style.
  3. A mini knitted drawstring bag to hold a precious stone or favorite piece of jewelry. Browse my sold pouches to see examples.

SO then, how do you enter? I’m going to keep it very, very simple. To be eligible you need to:

  1. Be subscribed to this blog.
  2. Leave a comment on this post sharing one of your favorite tiny delights by 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on Monday, February 17, 2025.

That’s all there is to it. I’ll use a random number generator to choose the winning comment on Tuesday the 18th.

If I’ve forgotten any important details (which is likely) or you have any questions, leave a comment or contact me and I’ll try to help you out.

Good luck everyone! And I can’t wait to hear about your favorite tiny delights.

Oh, Michelle. Just like you to be thinking of others at this horrible time. I’m finding out that my pension may be torn away. At 68, I wonder what I will do…

I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out okay for you and your family. Sending love.

it is, indeed, the perfect time to focus on tiny delights. The window I work near all day looks out to my backyard. There are several squirrels who move between mine and several neighbors backyards. I love watching their antics throughout the day. It’s a nice opportunity to stop, take a deep breath, and let the stress or anxiety or whatever fall away for a moment.

Squirrel and bird watching is all that keeps me going some days, I think!

I have several tiny daily delights that help keep me going when things get too much. The first is waking up each morning to bird song and seeing my cat Simon sleeping beside me. He gets so much fun chasing my hand under the blankets. The 2nd delight is stepping out my front door to refill the bird feeders, by the time I step away there are several birds perched on the feeders munching away while other wait in the tree branches. The 3rd delight is watering the few plants I have, illness has prevented me from having a full size garden. Here in Florida the weather has changed to the mid 80’s and the bees are quite active, just hearing them buzz about is such a pleasure. When my work day is over I will sit and stitch, read or journal which is a bigger delight. Thank you for a chance to win one of your wonderful creations.

What would we do without animal friends, domesticated or wild? So much joy comes from spending time with them!

As usual, tea is my tiny delight. I used to be a 90% coffee person, but have fallen in love with herbal teas and the variety of tastes they offer!

I love a cupboard full of teas ….
